FM sand supplier in Bangladesh

FM sand supplier in Bangladesh

Fm Sand supplier for any construction project-Fineness modulus(FM) of sand (fine aggregate) is an index number which represents the mean size of the particles in sand. It is calculated by performing sieve analysis with standard sieves. The cumulative percentage retained on each sieve is added and subtracted by 100 gives the value of fineness modulus. Fine aggregate means the aggregate which passes through 4.75mm sieve. To find the fineness modulus of fine aggregate we need sieve sizes of 4.75mm, 2.36mm, 1.18mm, 0.6mm, 0.3mm and 0.15mm. Fineness modulus of finer aggregate is lower than fineness modulus of coarse aggregate. Click here

There are three types of FM of Sand

  • Fine sand-Fineness modulus range(2.2 – 2.6)
  • Medium sand-Fineness modulus range(2.6 – 2.9)
  • Coarse Sand-Fineness modulus range(2.9 – 3.2)

FM sand in localy it is known as FM sand or selection sand or Lal Bali which is mined from Panchagarh ,Netrokona  and Sunamganj .We supply best quality FM sand for any construction project.

Why sand is so important ?

Sand is a vital component in the construction industry. It is a granular material made up of small, loose particles of rock and mineral, typically consisting of a mixture of silicon dioxide (silica), aluminum oxide, and iron oxide. Sand is used in a variety of construction applications, including as an ingredient in concrete, as a bedding material for pipes, as an abrasive for cleaning and polishing, and as a filler material in landscaping.

One of the primary uses of sand in construction is as an ingredient in concrete. Concrete is a mixture of cement, water, and aggregates, with sand being one of the main aggregates. Sand is used to provide bulk and strength to the concrete mixture, and it also helps to improve the workability of the concrete.

Sand is also used as a bedding material for pipes in the construction of roads, bridges, and buildings. Pipes are typically laid in trenches, and sand is used to help level and support the pipes. Sand helps to keep the pipes in place, and it also helps to prevent soil erosion and displacement
